Cattery in Cheltenham

What is a Cattery?

There are two types of catteries the first type is breeding. This is where you send your cat if you want it breeding with a certain breed. The other type is boarding. Have you ever had to leave town and wasn’t able to find anyone to look after your cats? Well, a boarding cattery is a place to leave your cats whilst you go away this is the type we offer to people in the Cheltenham area.

What We Do

  • Here at Rosedale House, we offer a cattery service to people in Cheltenham and other surrounding areas. For us to look after your cat and make sure other cats don’t get hurt you must follow these policies we have put in place:
  • Your cat must be inoculated for feline enteritis and cat flu (TRICAT) and must be proven when they are dropped off at the house.
  • We make sure that our pens are regularly sprayed for flea prevention but we please ask that all cats are protected from fleas before they visit us.
  • Our team insist that your cat must be transported to the house in a strong secure basket so that they are easily placed into the pens. If they are not then we hold no responsibility in getting them into their pens.
  • Please provide us with a contact number for your local veterinary practice in case there are ever any problems with your cat while in our hands. We always make sure that they are seen to by a vet practice but it would be vital that you let us know your wishes on what to do with your cat should it need medical attention. We do accept older cats but we do not take responsibility for what may happen while in our care.

Rosedale House is an amazing place to leave your cat-They always ensure your cat is well looked after. It's always telling when you come to collect your cat that they actually prefer it here rather than going home. The owners have a great understanding of cats and I always feel confident in leaving my cat here. My cat has been coming here for years. It's a great place.

Brilliant from top to bottom! The owners are both friendly and helpful and take good care over your cat(s). The costs are competitive for the area and they ensure that your pets needs are met with heated bedding, secure caging, entertainment through wild animals roaming (in separate enclosures visible to the cats) and with plenty of space. Ensure that you bring an up-to-date certificate to show that your cat(s) have received their vaccinations.
The cattery can get busy in the annual holidays so do book in advance for the season. The cattery will also consider long-haul stay on a case-by-case basis, providing housing for your pet while you spend an extended time away from home.
